Kanye West is opening 21 pop-up shops worldwide dedicated to The Life of Pablo merchandise this weekend, the rapper announced on Twitter today. Their locations are: New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Portland, Detroit, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Cape Town, Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore. The rapper-turned-designer's announcement follows the massive success of his Pablo pop-up shops earlier this year. His first opened on Wooster Street in NYC for two days back in March and drew in such large crowds that West claimed he sold $1 million worth of merchandise. Items on sale included t-shirts ($45-$60), hoodies ($95) and jackets ($150-$400) with lyrics from the album, according to WWD.
Other music artists like Justin Bieber and Drake followed with their own New York pop-ups, and similarly drew throngs of customers and fans. West also continued his merch streak with another temporary store in May, this time in L.A. Lines went on for blocks and some fans even camped out overnight before doors opened.
The announcement also follows yesterday's confirmation that West will be showing his Yeezy Season 4 collection on Sept. 7 for NFYW. Though his Pablo merchandise isn't part of his Yeezy line with Adidas, it's still a testament to how West's budding fashion empire only keeps on growing.
