Adam Lambert Is Joining Rocky Horror Remake

March 2024 · 1 minute read

Actor and singer Adam Lambert is set to join Fox’s reboot of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Last year, Fox announced that they would remake the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The reboot will be named Rocky Horror Picture Show Event, and will celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary.

It has now been revealed that Adam Lambert will join the reboot. The former American Idol contestant was originally one of the people who were considered for the role of Frank-N-Furter, but that role went to Laverne Cox. He will instead be playing Eddie, who crashes Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s party on his motorcycle. Eddie’s big number in Rocky Horror is Hot Patootie.

On his role in the new version of the classic, Lambert says, “I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was okay to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul!  I love that old time rock-n-roll!”

Rocky Horror Picture Show Event will air in the fall.
